Ask Me Anything with members of CREA’s Board of Directors – Episode 1

As a REALTOR®, you wear many hats. You’re a trusted advisor and confidant, a marketing expert, pricing guru, but most importantly, you’re a calming figure as your clients embark on the journey to homeownership. Good or bad, your role involves tempering expectations, staying positive and being honest with your clients.

Like you, CREA’s Board of Directors believes in transparency and accountability and for these reasons, we’re happy to announce the launch of our new Ask Me Anything video series.

In Episode 1, CREA’s Chair Costa Poulopoulos, Chair-Elect Cliff Stevenson and Vice Chair Jill Oudil speak openly and honestly about some of the most popular questions we receive from you, our members. From the need for a national ad campaign, how the Listing Stats app can help your business, to understanding why REALTOR.ca continues to partner with big brands, your questions are answered.

Each year, CREA spends millions of dollars on its national ad campaign. Why do we need to keep doing this and how does it help our industry?

“Born to be a REALTOR® resonates with me, because my dad was a REALTOR® and I started going to open houses, back in the old days, with him when I was 9-years-old. So, I really, really felt this campaign from a personal level, and I do feel like I was born to be a REALTOR®,” said Oudil.

I’ve noticed REALTOR.ca continues to partner with big brands like TD Bank, Scotiabank, and the Globe and Mail. What does this mean for my listings?

“It’s a phenomenal [opportunity] to get more eyeballs for REALTOR.ca, to capture leads and disperse those leads back to the member at no cost to the member,” explained Poulopoulos.

If there is one piece of technology that you couldn’t live/work without, what would it be?

“My fax machine, for sure,” said Stevenson

You’ll have to watch the video to find out if he’s joking or not.
