Five things to do to help your business

When the ball dropped and the new year began, you may have made a resolution to grow your business in 2020.

Now that we’re a few weeks into the new year, we have an important message to share: Don’t give up on that resolution just yet! Unlike quitting smoking or making a daily gym habit a routine, we’ve made it easy to stick to a professional-oriented resolution by providing you with tools and avenues to help you with your day-to-day REALTOR® life.

Below are just a few things you can do to help market yourself. Some of these tips take a few minutes, while others require a bit more planning, but all of them can increase your presence in the community you serve.

Update your REALTOR.ca profile

Do you have a profile picture taken in the last millennium? Has your contact info changed? Even worse, do you still not have a REALTOR.ca profile? If so, you could be missing out on leads.

Make sure your profile is complete in your MLS® System. Your phone number, website, social accounts (now including Instagram) and additional details (fields vary by board and association) are important and entice potential buyers to connect with you. You can also identify your trading area, not just your office address, to ensure you are reaching as many clients as possible.

Fun Fact: In 2018, there were six million REALTOR.ca profile views.

Download the Listing Stats app

Based on the REALTOR.ca Listing Statistics tool, the Listing Stats app allows agents to inform their marketing and pricing strategy on the go. You can see how the market is responding to your listing, respond to leads, connect with clients, view your listings and get instant notifications all in the palm of your hand.

Give the app a try and tell us what you think by selecting the “Feedback” tab in the app menu or leave a comment below.

  1. Is this a private place to leave a message or does it go onto a public posting…I took note after I wrote my message that at the bottom is says post comment…instead of send.
