I recently had a chance to speak with a group of REALTORS® in Ottawa. During our conversations, I was surprised to learn a number of them weren’t taking full advantage of REALTOR.ca Tools – exclusively available as a benefit to CREA members. REALTOR.ca is one of the largest sources of traffic to your listings and its statistics can only be accessed through REALTOR.ca Tools. This data is not available in your board or association’s MLS® listing statistics. That means, the REALTORS® I interviewed were missing out on listing statistics that help measure the true reach of their listings on REALTOR.ca. Since then, I’ve been on a mission to spread the word about this valuable set of tools.

As one of Canada’s most popular real estate websites, REALTOR.ca received 72 million unique visitors last year. Visitor interactions with your listings are tracked and easily accessible to you through member.REALTOR.ca. There’s no doubt about it, REALTOR.ca brings a lot of traffic to your listings. In 2017, there were more than 965 million property views on REALTOR.ca. Take advantage of these insights to create or validate your listing strategy, or use them as an opportunity to get in touch with your clients.

Your REALTOR.ca profile can help you stand out

Did you know 47% of REALTORS® don’t include a photo with their profile? Make sure your profile is up-to-date so it doesn’t stand between you and a potential lead. Your REALTOR.ca profile includes information you provided to your board or association’s MLS® System. You can enhance your profile by including your preferred email address, a high-resolution photo, social media profiles, languages and designations. Some boards and associations also allow ratings and testimonials. Check with your board or association to see what fields are available to you.

      Interactions on a listing are events that we capture as people view listings on REALTOR.ca. Examples include: photo views, visitors favouriting listings, sharing, adding to property tour, visiting agent’s website, etc.
