REACH Canada: Sourcing Technology for Your Business, so You Don’t Have To

In February of 2020, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) announced it was expanding its longstanding REACH program into Canada. The goal: identify and foster the leading technology solutions that would further enhance and offer value to REALTORS®.

What is REACH?

In the most simple form, REACH Canada is a technology research team. We spend our days looking for the best technologies available to you, the REALTOR®, for today and tomorrow. Each year we select up to 10 companies to join our official program, where we work with them to enhance their solutions to better serve you and the real estate transaction.

Why? Well, back in 2008 our parent organization, NAR, placed their bets on technology and capital as critical components to future-proof the REALTOR® brand in the U.S., and chose to work closely with the up and coming technology companies to better serve real estate professionals. One of the first companies they chose to work with was DocuSign… and the rest is history. Fast forward to 2020 and REACH now has five programs around the world, all dedicated to fostering innovative companies in the real estate ecosystem, in alignment with the REALTOR® brand.

Senior members of the REALTOR.ca team are also helping mentor the first class of REACH Canada, this includes several proptech innovators and subject matter experts from across North America.

What does REACH Canada mean to me?

REALTORS® should view us as a trusted partner in innovation, and a great source for insights into coming trends. Rather than spending months upon months researching the best companies for your business, we do that work for you.

The result: our yearly class of companies.

REACH companies are those we believe are the first you should consider when exploring innovation within your business. In addition, we would love to work with you to help these companies evolve.

Why should I care?

As REALTORS®, your most important resource is your time and the personal relationships you foster.  As technology continues to become more intertwined with real estate, the technology you adopt should solve for those things that steal your time away, including sourcing the tools you need.

Speaking of, we recently announced our inaugural class of companies and we invite you to learn more about companies such as:
