Top 3 questions from the spring tradeshows

Each year, CREA makes a point of attending as many industry conferences, AGMs and tradeshows as humanly possible. Often you will see Lynn, myself and a number of our Product Managers stationed at the CREA booth or giving presentations. Our focus has always been keeping you informed and educated  about our products and services and answering any questions you may have.

What did we get asked the most this spring?

1.       How do I get started with DDF™?

CREA’s Data Distribution Facility can be a complex beast but is ultimately intended to simplify the listing process. It provides you with a safe and secure way to distribute your listings to Board, broker, personal and third-party websites as well as access a pool of thousands of relevant listings. It was introduced in 2012 and since that time adoption has been tremendous.

To get started you first need to answer YES to a couple questions:

  1. Has my Board implemented the DDF™?
  2. Has my brokerage opted into DDF™?

For a more hands-on approach, you can also contact the CREA Member Service Centre ([sf_email]support@crea.ca[/sf_email]) to schedule a DDF™ training session.

2.       How can I get more copies of the Homebuyers’ Road Map?

The Homebuyers’ Road Map continues to be one of CREA’s most popular documents for REALTORS® and their clients. It’s a resource to help homebuyers better understand the financial implications of purchasing a home.

If you’re a REALTOR®, perhaps you have already provided copies or sent links to the online interactive version to your clients.

To order more hard copies of this document, please contact the CREA Member Support Team.

There is also a PDF version of the brochure and an interactive widget.

3.       When will we see the new REALTOR.ca?

As you may be aware, CREA has been working hard at developing the new REALTOR.ca. After running the beta site in test provinces and gathering valuable feedback from users in those regions, CREA extended the beta program Canada-wide in June.

Throughout the remainder of the summer and fall, you can expect to see additional testing and bug fixes going on in the background as we continue to move forward with the site.

For now you can continue to access the new site at REALTOR.ca and – as always – we welcome your feedback.

See you at the next show!
