The year is winding down, but we’re still just as busy as ever. Here’s a look at some of the events, courses and exciting developments happening at CREA for the rest of the year.

CRB designation courses: Several dates

If you’re thinking about becoming a broker and are interested in starting your own real estate company, upcoming courses for the Certified Real Estate Broker Manager (CRB) designation series is a great place to start.

Each course is hosted virtually through the CREA Learning Hub and takes place over two half-day sessions. This elective also counts toward your CRB designation:

CREA’s Political Action Committee (PAC) Days conference gathers designated REALTOR® volunteers (PAC representatives) and association executives from across the country to meet with Members of Parliament (MPs) on issues affecting homeowners and the REALTOR® community.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s conference will again be held virtually, however it will still feature the same great programming PAC reps have enjoyed for the past three decades, including commentary from prominent politicians and journalists.

We encourage REALTORS® interested in participating in REALTORS Care® Week this year to reach out to your local or provincial board or association to learn what volunteering opportunities they have in the works. If you have any questions, our REALTORS Care® team is here to help. Reach out any time to REALTORSCare@crea.ca

The AE Seminar takes place over four short virtual meetings, with the final meeting of 2021 taking place on November 18 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Attendance by board/association CEOs and EOs is mandatory for all four sessions.

Before the end of the year, we will put out a call for applications to serve on our 2022-2023 board and operational committees. These committees act as resources to our Board of Directors and CEO on important topics, including CREA’s governance and finances, our federal affairs initiatives, technology and more.

In line with our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism Commitments, we are actively working on ensuring our committee application and appointment processes are equitable and inclusive and that all of our committees reflect the rich diversity of Canada and the membership we serve moving forward.

Stay tuned for our announcement of the dates of our next committee application period and details on how to express your interest in becoming a CREA volunteer. In the meantime, check out our volunteer committee page on CREA.ca to learn more about the mandates, responsibilities and membership requirements for our various committees.
