CREA’s latest national ad campaign: The perils of Internet over-confidence

With spring in the air, real estate business is picking up across the country, which means it’s the perfect time to hit the airwaves with our new television, radio, and Internet ads.

With the number one real estate website in the country, REALTOR.ca, we all know the value of the Internet and its importance to buying and selling real estate. At the same time, buying and selling a home is one of life’s biggest financial decisions, one that requires personalized, professional service, from a REALTOR®, lawyer, accountant, and other specialists.

With that in mind, the theme of this year’s campaign is “Internet over-confidence.” It takes a humourous look at the idea that you can solve life’s challenges (big and small) by simply pointing and clicking. Different segments of the ad show “how-to” Internet searches and the consequences of relying solely on the results, rather than expert, in-person advice from a professional.

This year’s campaign includes television ads, radio spots, and online advertising.
