How to use the 2015 Insights Report to help build your business

CREA recently launched the 2015 Insights Report on with key analytics and metrics from Canada’s most-visited real estate website.

The 2015 Insights Report offers the most comprehensive look at and data about property buying and selling in Canada. This analysis of consumer behaviour is broken into three sections:

  1. Where the world looks for Canadian real estate

As Canada’s leading real estate destination, more than 71 million unique visitors came to in 2015. Of that, 10.5 million were visits from outside of Canada.

  1. Promoting REALTOR® value

Given the popularity of online video, we’ve been increasing the number of ways we use it to share messages about Last year, the majority (71 per cent) of video views came from first-time property buyers or sellers, predominantly in the 25-34 year age group.

  1. Generating clients for REALTORS®

If you’re a REALTOR®, is the place to be seen! In 2015, there were over 1.1 million searches for REALTORS® and 3.2 million REALTOR® profile views.

Last year, we saw members using the report to demonstrate REALTOR® value and recruit new clients. This year’s edition provides even more data around how Canadian and international buyers are using to find the perfect property and connect with REALTORS® from across Canada.
