Six useful Apps for REALTORS®

If I had to guess, I’d say that as a REALTOR®, one of your most valuable tools is your smartphone (yes, I’m going to assume by now we all have smartphones in this industry). And, as these devices get more powerful, the business activities we use them for become more efficient and accessible.

Here, in no particular order, are some useful Apps for REALTORS®:

Hootsuite

Hootsuite is a one-stop social media management suite for scheduling, posting and following your social media marketing efforts. The Hootsuite Apps are great on every platform and make it super easy for you to access your account from all devices. Your Hootsuite account will handle all your other social accounts and credentials. This is important when you’ve created multiple saved searches and added all your social accounts.

Evernote

Evernote is the ultimate memory bank in the form of a notebook. It does a great job of helping you organize all the things you come across and want to save. It lets you group your items in a variety of ways making it easy to organize and search as needed. Evernote has done a great job at adapting their product to a number of industries, including real estate, and developed useful guides to help REALTORS® optimize their function.

Digital Signature Solutions

As a business professional in this industry you need to be able to take your office everywhere you go. You can’t have a fax machine in your car, but at the same time, you are expected to! As a REALTOR®, you know that WEBForms® is the most popular CREA Technology Product with members, and as an avid smartphone or tablet user you need WEBForms® to travel with you.

Through WEBForms®, CREA provides members with the option of two digital signature solutions: DocuSign and Authentisign. Both solutions offer platform flexibility and can easily be enabled by logging into WEBForms® and selecting Add-ons.

LightTrac

This App is a must-have for real estate photographers and REALTORS® who need to be aware of light conditions for specific properties. LightTrac helps you figure out where the sun will be at any given address at any given date and time. You can imagine how useful this could be when scheduling shoots and showings!

TapeACall

Have you ever been on a call and – halfway through – wished you could be recording it? Well, now you can! What’s great about TapeACall is its flexibility. Not only are you able to record a phone call, but you can start recording even after the call has started. This can be very useful if you’re on the go and unable to take notes. With TapeACall you can get the audio file from the call to play back later. And, if you’ve been trying the Apps I mentioned above, it will be easy for you to store your calls in Evernote in a client notebook.

REALTOR.ca

No list of real estate Apps would be complete without Canada’s most popular source for real estate: REALTOR.ca. The REALTOR.ca mobile App makes it easy to quickly access listing information when out with clients. It can also be used to show nearby listings, directions, and contact information for REALTORS® across the country. This App will help give perspective into how your clients search for real estate.

Pro Tip: When you are with clients, ask them to add you as their Agent in the REALTOR.ca mobile App. This will help them easily access your contact info and add you to their phone contacts.

We’d love to know which Apps you couldn’t live without! Share your favourites in the comments, below.
