I recently had the opportunity to speak with Gerry Lodwick, a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Country Lakes Realty Inc., from Simcoe, Ontario, to discuss how he utilizes technology in his business.

Here is an edited transcript of our interview:
You’ve been using CREA WEBForms® for a while now. Why have you continued to use the service? What has it meant for your business?
I’ve been using CREA WEBForms® for five to six years, and it’s really the only forms solution I use. The most important thing about CREA WEBForms®, for me, is how nicely it integrates with my MLS® System. This saves my front office staff a lot of time.
What do you like most about the new CREA WEBForms®?
As soon as I started using it, I felt it was more visually appealing and easier to find what I was looking for. Everything being on the menu to the left of the screen is super handy. You can send documents to e-signature providers in just a few clicks, and I like the fact it’s easier to switch between the multiple boards I am a part of.
How did you find the transition to the new service?
As far as transitioning to the new service, there was no learning curve whatsoever. It was really easy to figure out.
CREA WEBForms® offers you the choice between five different add-on services (e-signature and transaction management). Do you use any of these services? What has integrating with e-signature providers meant for you and the service you are able to provide your clients?
My wife, Kim, and I do 50 to 60 deals a year, and DocuSign along with its CREA WEBForms® integration has been a godsend. We live in a rural area, but often deal with clients from the Greater Toronto Area, about one and half hours or more away, making it problematic to sign documents. DocuSign integrated with CREA WEBForms® has made this so much easier, and has allowed us to do more deals. It’s also allowed our clients and our own agents to both work comfortably from home. Overall, it has been really good for real estate.
If you had to sell a non-CREA WEBForms® user on the benefits of CREA WEBForms®, what would you say?
CREA WEBForms® is integrated, time-saving, and easy to use. Forms and documents are right there for you.
I’ve looked at other forms solutions in the past, but it was really not appealing compared to CREA WEBForms®. I wouldn’t use anything else.
Anything else you’d like to add?
CREA has come a long way with CREA WEBForms®. I’ve always loved the functionality, and it seems like it’s become more reliable, which is important to my business.
